I write and edit every NestPath guide
I founded NestPath in 2026 after going through the Australian first home buyer process myself. I thought I was prepared. I had saved for years, read every blog I could find, and felt ready. I was not. The borrowing number the bank quoted, the stamp duty surprise, the LMI maths nobody explains out loud. I made every mistake the hard way.
NestPath is the guide I wish I had. Free borrowing power, stamp duty and deposit calculators, grant guides for every state and territory, a step by step buyer journey, and a homeowner hub of 957 buying guides covering 3,516 products you actually need when you move into your first home.
The rules in this space move constantly. States rewrite stamp duty concessions mid year, lenders shift their buffers, schemes open and close. When that happens the calculators and guides change with the primary source, the revenue office ruling or the ATO page, not someone else’s summary of it. I also publish original research on deposit maths and first home buyer affordability.
I write or edit every NestPath guide myself. If you spot something wrong, a price that has drifted, an AU plug that turned out to be US, a stock claim that no longer matches Amazon AU, email me at hello@nestpath.com.au and I will fix it.
What I write about
First home buyer finance
Borrowing power, stamp duty, LMI, lender comparisons, FHB grants and the First Home Guarantee scheme, explained in plain English with the state by state numbers that actually apply to you.
Homeowner product round ups
Mesh WiFi, mattresses, robot vacuums, air fryers, ergonomic chairs, fridges, washing machines. Buying guides for the things you actually need in your first home, with real Australian retailer availability.
How I run the homeowner hub
Written for Australia, not rebadged from the US
Every guide is written for Australian retailers, plug standards, climate and rebates, not US listicles rewritten in metric.
Honest about category limits
If a category is structurally thin on Amazon AU, think pillows, premium full size appliances, certain Samsung lines, I say so on the page instead of recommending a product that is chronically out of stock.
Specs checked against Amazon AU listings
Wattage, capacity, dimensions, plug type. Every spec on a product card is checked against the Amazon Creators API listing, not guessed from a brand marketing page.
