The best hard floor cleaner in Australia for most hard floors is the Philips OneUp Electric Mop 5000, a cordless electric mop that weighs 1.9 kg and has 4.4 stars from 1,774 ratings. It is a mop, not a vacuum, so pick the Tineco Floor ONE i6 Stretch for one machine that vacuums and washes.

The Philips listing shows 4.4 stars from 1,774 ratings, which is more ratings than any other machine in this guide whose listing we could read. It lists up to 70 minutes of battery against up to 40 minutes for the Tineco, which Tineco says is based on its laboratory data, and it weighs 1.9 kg against 4500 grams for the Tineco.

If you want to vacuum and wash in one pass, the Tineco Floor ONE i6 Stretch is the machine to look at. Its listing describes washing and vacuuming simultaneously, a 180° lay flat design that reclines to a height of only 13 cm, and a full path self cleaning cycle with a 5 minute dry using 85℃ air. It has 4.2 stars from 703 ratings.

The Eureka FloorShine460 is a slimmer wet dry vacuum with 4.2 stars from 14 ratings, so treat it as unproven. The Bona Tile and Laminate Floor Cleaner is a floor liquid, not a machine, with 4.6 stars from 3,965 ratings.

How do the top hard floor cleaners compare?

The short version: you are trading weight and run time against what the machine does with dry debris. The table below puts the numbers from each Amazon Australia listing side by side, with seller and stock status. The Bona is a floor liquid, so it sits in the table for reference and is not compared as a machine.

One number deserves a warning label. The Eureka FloorShine460 sits on 14 ratings, which tells you little beyond the machine not being obviously broken, so recheck its rating before you buy. The Philips has 1,774 ratings, the Tineco has 703 and the Bona bottle has 3,965. The Shark VACMOP Reveal shows 722 ratings on its listing, but it could not be bought on 17 October 2026.

The four listings that could be bought each show the seller and eligibility for change of mind returns within 30 days of receipt: Amazon AU for the Philips and the Bona, Tineco AU for the Tineco and Midea Group AU for the Eureka. Check the returns line on the listing before you order, because it can change.

A vacuum mop suits mixed mess, and a washing mop suits a wipe over a floor that is already swept. The Tineco Floor ONE i6 Stretch washes and vacuums at once and its listing gives 4500 grams. The Philips OneUp Electric Mop 5000 weighs 1.9 kg and lists up to 70 minutes of battery.

Definitions first. A hard floor cleaner is a machine or a liquid made for hard floors such as tile, vinyl, laminate and stone. A vacuum mop washes and vacuums in one pass. A washing mop pumps clean water onto the floor and sucks the dirty water back up. A floor liquid is the cleaning solution you spray or add, and it needs a mop or a machine to do the work.

• Vacuum mop: the Tineco Floor ONE i6 Stretch listing describes washing and vacuuming simultaneously, and the Eureka FloorShine460 listing says it tackles dry debris and wet spills in a single pass. Both list battery power.

• Spray mop with a disposable pad: the Shark VACMOP Reveal VM401 listing describes vacuuming debris and then spray mopping onto a disposable pad, but it could not be bought on 17 October 2026.
• Floor liquid: the Bona Tile and Laminate Floor Cleaner comes in a spray bottle and is not a machine.

Who each suits, in our view and not as a test result: choose a vacuum mop if you want crumbs and spills handled in one pass and can carry a heavier machine. Choose the washing mop if you already own a vacuum, your hard floor area is modest and you want something light. Choose the floor liquid if all you need is a spray bottle cleaner for tile, vinyl, laminate or stone.

The Philips OneUp Electric Mop 5000 is the hard floor cleaner we would buy if your hard floor area is modest and you already own a vacuum. It is a washing mop rather than a vacuum mop: the listing says it pumps clean water onto the floor while silently sucking up dirty water. It has 4.4 stars from 1,774 ratings on Amazon Australia and is sold by Amazon AU.

The listing describes a cordless mop with a 360° rotating hinge that reaches under furniture and into tight corners. It lists up to 70 minutes of uninterrupted cleaning from a battery with an included USB-C cable, and the product information gives an item weight of 1.9 kilograms. The listing says it is ideal for surfaces up to 125 square metres and includes a machine washable pad. The title names a dual wetness setting for hard and delicate floors, and the product information lists the head material as cotton.

On floor types, the listing says it is great for hard floors, including delicate, non absorbent types such as laminate, vinyl, parquet, stone, cast floors and smooth tiles. The listing does not say whether timber must be sealed, so check the floor maker's guidance before you use any wet mop on timber.

In short: sweep or vacuum first. The product information gives the item type as a cordless electric mop, and the listing does not describe picking up dry debris. The case for the Philips rests on weight and battery: 1.9 kg against 4500 grams for the Tineco, and up to 70 minutes against up to 40 minutes.

Who it suits: a unit, apartment or small home with a hard floor area inside the 125 square metres the listing mentions, where you already own a vacuum and want something light to carry. Who should look elsewhere: anyone who wants one machine that picks up dry crumbs and washes.

Flaws but not dealbreakers

It does not vacuum, so every clean starts with a sweep or a vacuum. The listing does not state a tank size or say which cleaning solution to use, so check the maker's instructions for both. The 70 minute run time is the maker's upper limit. And the listing gives the pad as machine washable, so expect a pad to wash after use.

Tineco Floor ONE i6 Stretch for one machine that vacuums and washes

The Tineco Floor ONE i6 Stretch is the alternative to the Philips if you want a single machine that vacuums and washes. Its title calls it a wet dry vacuum cleaner, vacuum and mop all in one, and its listing describes washing and vacuuming simultaneously. It has 4.2 stars from 703 ratings and is sold by Tineco AU and shipped by Amazon.

The listing describes 20kpa suction, based on Tineco laboratory data, a 180° lay flat design that reclines to a height of only 13 cm, and an anti tangle design that sends hair and pet fur into the waste tank. It also describes one touch hot water self cleaning followed by a 5 minute dry with 85℃ air. The runtime is listed as up to 40 minutes, again based on Tineco laboratory data. The product information gives a capacity of 0.8 litres, an item weight of 4500 grams and battery power.

In the box, the product information lists an extra HEPA filter, brush rollers, a drying and charging dock, a cleaning solution and a cleaning tool. It gives the surface recommendation as hard floor, hardwoods, laminate and multi surface, and the listing does not say whether hardwood needs to be sealed.

Flaws but not dealbreakers

It is heavy next to the Philips: 4500 grams against 1.9 kg. The 20kpa suction and the 40 minute run time are Tineco laboratory figures, not independent tests. The listing gives a capacity of 0.8 litres, so in our view a large open plan area may need a refill. Its 4.2 stars match the Eureka FloorShine460 and the Shark VACMOP Reveal, which could not be bought on 17 October 2026, so the rating alone does not separate them.

JONR ED12 Lite Cordless Wet Dry Vacuum Mop

Could not be bought on 17 October 2026: Amazon Australia returned no listing details for the JONR ED12 Lite, so we cannot confirm its price, rating, specifications or seller, and we are not recommending it.

The title saved for it when its listing last loaded describes a cordless wet dry vacuum mop with self cleaning and a lightweight 3.5 KG body, for hard floors and pet hair. Nothing else about it is confirmed. The card stays so the listing is easy to find if it returns.

Kärcher FC 7 Premium Cordless Hard Floor Cleaner

Could not be bought on 17 October 2026: Amazon Australia returned no listing details for the Kärcher FC 7 Premium, so we cannot confirm its price, rating, specifications or seller, and we are not recommending it.

The title saved for it when its listing last loaded describes a cordless hard floor cleaner and a quick drying smart wet dry vacuum with edge cleaning. Nothing else about it is confirmed. If the listing returns we will recheck it before saying anything more.

Shark VACMOP Reveal VM401 Cordless Hard Floor Cleaner

Could not be bought on 17 October 2026: Amazon Australia showed the Shark VACMOP Reveal VM401 as currently unavailable and said it did not know when or if the item would be back in stock, so we are not recommending it.

The listing describes a cordless vacuum and spray mop that vacuums debris and then spray mops onto a disposable pad, with no pre sweeping required. The title says it includes 4 disposable pads and a 12oz pet multi surface cleaning solution, and the product information gives a runtime of 13 minutes and an item weight of 2 kg. It showed 4.2 stars from 722 ratings. We keep the card so you can see what it was, not as a pick.

Eureka FloorShine460, a slim wet dry vacuum for under furniture

The Eureka FloorShine460 is a slim wet dry vacuum of the same type as the Tineco: its listing says it tackles dry debris and wet spills in a single pass. It has 4.2 stars from only 14 ratings and is sold by Midea Group AU and shipped by Amazon, so treat it as promising rather than proven.

The listing describes a 180° lay flat design with an 11.5cm low profile for reaching under sofas and beds, a repositioned water tank so that it feels as light as lifting 800 grams in use, a self drying roller, an edge cleaning brush and an anti tangle pro roller for pet hair and long hair. The product information lists battery power and a surface recommendation of hard floor.

Who it suits, in our view: a home with a lot of furniture to get under and a hard floor you want vacuumed and washed in one pass, where you are comfortable buying a machine with a short ratings history.

Flaws but not dealbreakers

The rating rests on 14 ratings. The listing title, bullet points and product information do not state a weight, a run time or a tank size, so we cannot compare it with the Philips or the Tineco on those figures. Recheck the rating and the listing before you buy.

Bona Tile and Laminate Floor Cleaner 1 Litre, a floor liquid for tile, vinyl and laminate

Bona Tile and Laminate Floor Cleaner is a floor liquid, not a machine, so it sits in this guide for the floors the machines clean and is not compared with them. The listing describes a tile and laminate cleaner in a spray bottle, specially developed for tiles, vinyl, laminate, stone and other hard surfaces. It has 4.6 stars from 3,965 ratings and is sold by Amazon AU.

The product information lists a one litre bottle weighing 1.18 kg, an item form of spray, no rinse and streak free as special features, alcohol free as a material type, and an unscented scent.

One note: this is the tile and laminate formula. If your floors are finished timber, the Bona Wooden Floor Cleaner 4 Litre listing says it is specifically designed for finished wooden and cork floors and also works for the cleaning of waxed and oiled floors. The Bona Tile and Laminate listing describes a spray bottle cleaner and does not say it is meant for a machine tank, so check your machine's manual before you put any liquid in a tank.

Choose by floor type, because the listings name different surfaces. The Philips lists laminate, vinyl, parquet, stone and smooth tiles. The Tineco lists hard floor, hardwoods and laminate. The Bona Tile and Laminate cleaner lists tiles, vinyl, laminate and stone, and the Bona Wooden Floor Cleaner lists finished wooden and cork floors.

For timber, none of the machine listings says whether the boards must be sealed, so check the floor maker's guidance first. Google's AI Overview for the search best cordless hard floor cleaner australia says that if you have sealed timber, laminate or hybrid flooring you should avoid heavy steam settings or test lower moisture modes to prevent swelling or warping. Test a hidden corner before you wash a whole floor.

How big is your home? Weight, run time and tank size

Match the machine to your floor area and your arms. The Philips lists up to 70 minutes, a 1.9 kg weight and surfaces up to 125 square metres. The Tineco lists up to 40 minutes and 4500 grams, so it suits a floor you can finish in one battery. The Eureka lists no run time, weight or tank size.

• Weight. The Philips lists 1.9 kg and the Tineco lists 4500 grams. The Eureka states no weight, and its listing says it feels as light as lifting 800 grams in use.
• Run time. The Philips lists up to 70 minutes and the Tineco lists up to 40 minutes, based on Tineco laboratory data. The Eureka states none, and a listing with no run time leaves you guessing.
• Tank size. The Tineco lists a capacity of 0.8 litres. The Philips and Eureka listings do not state a tank size.
