Dry first, apply, dwell, agitate, rinse, squeegee. The screen goes in dry, because water dilutes the product. The cleaner is left the full time the label asks for, usually one to two minutes for a foam, which is when the chemistry actually works. A soft nylon brush on grout and a non-scratch pad on tile does more in thirty seconds than a cloth does in five minutes. Rinse from the top down, then squeegee the glass while it is still wet.
